Interdisciplinary approaches in Gender Studies and Queer Studies are central to the research of many FRIT faculty and graduate students. Scholarship by FRIT faculty examines how categories and expressions of gender and sexuality are defined, experienced, regulated and contested through language and representation. FRIT graduate students can pursue a graduate minor in Gender and Women's Studies or Queer Studies from the Department of Gender and Women's Studies.
