Professor Fagyal among recipients of seed funding from BRIDGE

Professor Zsuzsanna Fagyal (FRIT) is among the three recipients of seed funding from the Birmingham-Illinois Partnership for Discovery, Engagement and Education (“BRIDGE”) to initiate collaborative research and scholarly exchanges on “Computational Sociolinguistics and the Impacts of Language Models” with colleagues at the University of Birmingham (UK). Together with Professors Jonathan Dunn (Linguistics) and Salvatore Callesano (Spanish) she will begin with workshops at both locations in Spring 2026 and 2027 and then contribute to joint projects and publications in the following years.
