For the centenary of French novelist Marcel Proust’s death (18 November, 1922), Prof. François Proulx co-edited a special issue of L’Esprit Créateur on “Proust to Other Ends” with Hannah Freed-Thall (NYU), featuring articles by leading scholars from France, the U.S. and Japan.

Profs. Proulx and Caroline Szylowicz (Curator of Rare Books and Manuscripts, RBML) recently published the first comprehensive inventory of Proust’s drawings to the composer Reynaldo Hahn, documenting over 180 sketches (Bulletin d'informations proustiennes, 2022). Proulx and Szylowicz also contributed entries to the catalogue for Proust, la fabrique de l’oeuvre, a major exhibition organized by the Bibliothèque nationale de France.

Congratulations, Professors Proulx and Szylowicz !
