On the occasion of the centenary of the writer’s death

Join Professor François Proulx (Department of French and Italian) and RBML curator Caroline Szylowicz for a conversation about the life and works of the famous 19th-century writer Marcel Proust (1871-1922). The event will mark the 100th anniversary of his death with an exploration of books, manuscripts and letters drawn our Rare Book & Manuscript Library's famed Proust collection. You will learn why Proust's work still resonates for so many readers. You will learn about favorite characters, passages, and find out the truth about the long-time mystery surrounding his cork-lined bedroom and other well-known myths.
We are looking forward to seeing you there!
